Nineteen years through the crackling of the phone line you hear:

I love you with all of my heart and then some

Through a mist you suddenly see light

In a whisper: infinite love and then some

Acceptance letters, accepting fate, expecting chaos

You hustle down hallways, sidewalks, and then, some

Comfortable love seeps off of your tongue

Comfortable fights, sex, routine, and? Then some

One ceases to exist as the whisper dies and your

Eyes cannot comprehend corpse, tubes, and then some

This hole is whole: all of (you); entire

Crawl into it. Crawl out of it. And then? Some

Whiskey to induce flavor (a favor) as the night turns

Into day. Repeat and then some
